Financial Consultants

I would like to see an example of a job analysis for a financial consultants business in Port Elizabeth area, South Africa.

Thanks for the request. Anybody got something to help out with this request?

Let me get you started by asking a few questions related to the position. Since I have no idea what kind of financial products or end customers you deal with I'll have to ask some questions to lead you down the right path here.

First you need to consider the parts of the job that are critical to success. If this financial consultant is just solving problems and does not have to do any sales, then it requires one type of skill set. This person must be a master at explaining your products and services to your typical customer...which leads me to the next question, what is your target customer? Is it a business or is it geared toward individuals? Again it is a different skill set.

Analyzing a business and doing consulting is different than analyzing a personal portfolio and coming up with a plan to grow it.

Getting back to sales, if this consultant is expected to either have a book of business or grow a book of business, sales and customer support are going to be key components of your job analysis. These skills are again different than the analytical skills associated with management of assets.

I hope that helps get you started. Please feel free to forward any drafts you come up with for your financial consultant job analysis.
